| Answer: |

| Question: |
Favorite Cartoon Character? |
| Answer: |
It’s a TIE between Goldie Gold and The Huntress!
Don’t know if you remember Goldie- she was only around for a couple seasons in the ‘80’s. She was this suicide blonde, filthy rich heiress (think Paris & Nikky as one Hilton, minus sex tape!) who insisted on working for a living. She’d jet set around the world as a reporter/journalist, solve mysteries, get her “copy” and generally save the day. I liked her because she was super glamorous but had major brains. I also LOVED The Huntress! She had her very own comic and appeared in the Justice League cartoon. By day, she was Helena Wayne (Bruce Wayne’s daughter via Selena Kyle/Cat Woman!), Attorney at Law. By night, she was this wicked brunette bombshell- this super curvaceous, crime fighting, kick-ass girl. She was friends with another character I’ve always loved- The Black Canary (who’s super power was sound!). All my favorites have all three B’s: Beauty, Brains and Braun! |
| Question: |
What are some of your new projects? |
| Answer: |
We’re in midst of launching the ‘Lolly Pop’ full length! There’s also an ‘ELEVATOR OPERATOR’ maxi single with a ton of club mixes coming in February! We’ll be shooting a second video in late Spring… We’re debating which song to make next… Maybe you guys can help us? There’s LOTS more, but I’ll save it for the interview! |
| Question: |
What have you been up to? |
| Answer: |
We came home from tour in December. I loved New York! It’s so electric- there’s just this GIGANTIC buzz in the air. Manhattan sort of jolts you… No matter who you are and what you’ve been through, it’s very humbling. I went into the city with Monte, who knew his way around well. We went to The Village, Times Square and to see the Dakota as well as Strawberry Fields. I wound up in tears there… I’ve always loved John Lennon- all The Beatles, really. It was very emotional… for my band mates too. Monte was very good about it... He was very good to us the entire trip. He helped load and unload gear and supervised set up/sound checks. I got terrible stage fright in the dressing room in Cleveland and couldn’t tie my ascot... He fixed it in two seconds flat, had me do some breathing exercises and gave me a great, big hug. I don’t often get *that* scared anymore, but every once in a while I’ll catch myself in the mirror and go “Who the hell are YOU to go prancing about like THAT?” Monte taught me to ask: “Who the hell are you not to?” On the subject, I’ll say one last thing. The most valuable lesson I’ve learned from all this is that when you don’t believe in yourself, you do everyone around you a disservice. We should all strive to meet our potential. Believe in yourself… and spread the power of belief to others. |
| Question: |
Of all the things you've done, what is it you are most proud of? |
| Answer: |
The ‘Lolly Pop’ full length. |
| Question: |
What do you think of Internet Radio and its place in the music industry? |
| Answer: |
Internet and Satellite Radio ARE the wave of the future. In the same way that MTV took us places in the 80’s, Internet and Satellite Radio are now the new frontier. Radio-- as we once knew it-- is dying out. It has become HOMOGENIZED. Record executives and music directors/programmers just aren’t taking risks anymore. And not taking risks is costing them: costing them listeners and advertisers… consumers. People are bored and when people get bored, they look for and/or create alternatives. Thus, we have Internet and Satellite Radio. And you know what? There’s something AWESOME about artists having a decent shot at airplay again. It’s because of people like you, Joe Kelley, the folks at the college stations and behind the decks in clubs who are willing to take RISKS that truly creative music will continue. |
| Question: |
Favorite Place in the World? |
| Answer: |
I can’t answer this because I haven’t been to every country I’d like to go yet! Maybe ask in 10 or 15 years? |
