Deejay Alex J spins hip hop, deep house, rare grooves, and reggae. He is a beat maker, producer, engineer, part-time MC and a jack of all trades. He is also producing and rhyming on a project called "Futuristic Sci-Fi" with Doodlebug of Digable Planets. Alex is currently working for ZYX Music/Germany and has done several music projects for the digital label Ingrooves.

Deejay Alex J. first burst onto the music scene with the Emotive Record compilation “The Future Sound of New York”. This complication was a showcase for such New York based talent such as Junior Vasquez, Cevin Fisher, DJ Pierre, Masters at Work, and Felix da Housecat. A virtual unknown at the time, Alex J.’s track “Journeyman” was selected to appear alongside these industry heavyweights.

Alex has since gone on to record for Nervous Records dropping such staple tracks as Body and Soul, Music is My Life and Everything is Beautiful release on Sugar Dish Recordings (Japan). Sony Music/Germany licensed A Better Day featuring Romananthony and Body and Soul was licensed by Danny Rampling for his joint complication with David Morales released on React Music.
