I was raised in a multi-racial, multi-class, multi-religious environment. An existence that forced me to discover the common denominator of all people: music, hardship and love. For some time I’ve struggled to comprehend the need to market art, especially music, in distinctively different genres. I’ve always believed we underestimated the heart of our listeners. We’ve divided their ear to compete for revenue, which devoured the sole purpose of music: to heal and rejuvenate. In every facet of music, the rhythm conducts the mood, the lyrics ignite thought and the melody dares you to shout in conviction.

“Wordlife & Rhythm” wishes to congeal the souls of every music lover. Highlighting songs of several genres: rap, world, soul, country and rock, strictly through sound vibration. A carefully selected catalogue of artist that aim to inspire, uplift and ignite raw emotion for our listener in hopes of making them better than they were yesterday. This broad vision of sound will expand our listeners’ knowledge of music while bridging gaps of understanding between our fellow man/woman. This format will be sprinkled with talks of astrology, real life triumphs, community concerns and worldly issues. The “Word” remains the driving force of anyone who aims for personal truths. From interviews with confused parents needing advice on how to raise their children to passionate poetry reminding us about the sensibility of love. Who is Sonja Marie? You might remember her from the 13 times platinum selling soundtrack “Waiting To Exhale” with her song “And I Gave My Love To You”. Since then she has completed two studio albums, “Black Album: Vol. 1” and “Nativity Screams”. Her explosive stage presence has left an indelible impression on Amsterdam, Holland, Atlanta, Ga., and throughout California. Sonja has also lend her captivating voice and poignant lyrics on collaborative musical projects with Whitney Houston, the late, great Teena Marie and Lalah Hathaway, just to name a few. Her poetry has been featured in several anthologies, including a book of her own entitled, “Love Stories”. She has made a name for herself in the Voice Over industry, featured on television and radio with clients such as Sony, Playstation and Toyota. Sonja Marie radiates in stature due to her 18 year study of metaphysics and astrology. She conducts healing seminars entitled, “WORDLIFE ASTROLOGY”.
